Dear Save a Dog:
My name is Jefferson Davis Stricklin. My siblings (they were all all black and
white--I'm the only brown and white one) and I came from North Carolina in July of 2001.
Jayne MacRae picked us up and took care of us. Upon my arrival at her home I was
greeted by the lady I now know as Mom.
I lived in Westwood for two years and now I live in Florida. We have a pool and
I make sure it gets used daily. I live to swim. Last Summer I survived 4 hurricanes,
the worst being Charley. Lucky for me Mom put me in the closet until the storm ended.
Please know that I am eternally grateful that Save-A-Dog rescued me and found me
such a great home. I am loved and very happy. I have two of my own dogs and we
have a grand time together. We also have three smaller animals (I think they are
called cats). I enjoy chasing them around the house when Mom is out (please do not
tell her as I don't think she would be amused).
Keep on saving animals - and know you do make a difference everyday. One day I
hope to see you at the Rainbow Bridge.
Love,
Jefferson Davis Stricklin & Family
