Success Story
 |
We adopted "Homer" last February from Save-a-Dog. Homer was about 1 year old at
the time and both my husband and I were a little hesitant because of his size and breed (part bulldog).
I can't tell you how much joy he has given to this family and we've since added a second dog
(another 'part' bulldog about the same age, also a male) and the two get along perfectly. Homer
thinks he's human and keeps up with all of us. He tries to get into our bed unnoticed and at times
we can't resist letting him stay. He has grown quite a bit and has no trouble reaching what he wants
from the countertops so we have to be careful where we put things or he'll take them when we're not
looking. We know he's at least part American Bulldog and there is a question if he might have some
Great Dane in him as well. Every time we take him out, people comment on him. We were told in the
dog park by someone, that if they could steal one dog there, it would be Homer. He's big and cute
and lovable and brings great humor and joy to this home. I have no regrets .... and encourage others
to give the dogs here a chance at a good life, you won't be sorry.
