Hi Laurie,
Chopper (formally Squirt! ha ha) is doing great. We love him so much. We can't
thank you enough. You did such a great job with him. We feel so lucky to have
found him. He's been the best dog. Likes to take your shoes, so we hide them.
He is always with us, stuck to us like a bandaid. Loves to go in the car and has
been around lots of people and other animals. He's exercising every day...playing
fetch, running around outside. Thank you again. I've attached a picture for you.
Gary, Jess and Chopper
Update:
Last February my wife and I were looking for a new home and decided that we would like
a new dog. We came across your web site and visited it everyday until we fell in love
with a Shephard mix named Squirt. We were encouraged by reading your Success Stories
and looking at all the beautiful dogs. We decided to drive out to Carlisle to see him
at his foster home where we were greeted by a big (at first intimidating) dog that
flipped himself over on his back so we could scratch his belly. (not so intimidating
after all). He turned out to be a loving happy go lucky dog who wouldn't leave our
sides. In fact his groomer calls him "Mr. Happy". In fact, he loves to lean into
your legs and will nudge you with his cold wet nose if you stop petting him. Our mind
was made up and we brought him home that Saturday. We named him Chopper and have spoiled
him ever since.
In December, we received a copy of your newsletter and saw a beautifully written story
titled "Not your Ordinary Christmas Eve" where Chopper (Squirt) was profiled in a heart
felt story about his rescue one year ago. As we looked our into our yard on Christmas
Eve one year later, we saw Chopper running around the paddock with our horse at our
new home in New Hampshire, and felt so fortunate that we had found him and know that
we gave him a good home. We wanted to write back to you and share our wonderful
experience with Save A Dog and show you a couple of pictures of him one year later.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. Love Gary and Jessica Kassabian and Chopper!
