We adopted Carlos (formerly Chubbs) in October 2002. While he was a little
wild at first, we took him to training and helped him understand the house rules, and he is just
a fabulous, loving, and sweet dog. He rings a bell when he wants to go outside, which is often.
He plays with Fiona, our 8 year old Australian Terrier, all the time. He goes on long walks with me
early in the morning. This photo shows him looking out the window, which is known here as
"doggie TV." Because he is part beagle, he loves to wander and when we first got him, he dug
under our fence and escaped several times. We installed an electronic fence for his protection,
and he learned quickly. Now, he won't go outside the fence unless he is on leash!
