Update: Justin has a home lined up. All the training paid off, thank you sponsors, especially Kate Bergquist, our fairy Dog-mother. He is going to live with a family who has other English Setters and will work as a bird dog on occasional weekends. We are so grateful to Quinnebaug Kennels for helping to mold Justin into an adoptable dog. We can't imagine where he would have ended up without this partnership of experts and supporters. Justin is a gorgeous English Setter who is looking for a good home. He was a West Virginia stray who was rescued by Save A Dog and brought up to Massachusetts for adoption. He was thought to be older, but his trainers think he's more like five years old. The breed has the energy level of a much younger dog and his exuberance and lack of training kept him from being adopted. so we sent him to a one month training camp especially geared for bird dogs and now he heels beautifully. We need someone experienced with dog training so that he does not lose the training we put into him. He is available to be seen immediately in CT, not far from the Hartford area. He loves to be outside and seems happiest outside running around with his head high and tail sailing in the wind.
