Dwight is a 10 month old Dane mix with blue eyes so light they look white. He has a Dane-like body and features, but the eyes will get you. His rescuers thought Catahoula, but he doesn't have the Catahoula personality. He definitely has the laid back Dane personality. Everyone who sees him wants him. He is a one of a kind. He is so beautiful. He sees perfectly well, but is quite striking with his brindle coat and white eyes. He is good with other dogs and loves people. He loves to fetch! He weighs about 75 pounds and will make a very loyal friend. Dwight is very special. He hasn't lost that puppy goofiness and still squats to pee, but he is very smart and really handsome and those light-colored eyes set him apart as a really special dog. His WV foster mom says: Dwight is the nicest dog ever!! He is housetrained, likes a crate fine, rides in the car beautifully and runs/walks three miles with me most days. He is big boned and very well built and his color is striking. But the eyes!! His eyes are so blue they are white and I was just saying the other day that you could not find another like him anywhere for lots of reasons. I have had many thoughts of keeping him, butthen I could not foster another, so he has to come to someone very, very special.. He is great with other dogs, large and small and while curious about the cats, does not chase or try to play with them. He knows what "no" means and does not chase deer. He was allowed off leash in his WV foster home and was very trustworthy, however we have a six month rule about off-leash and require training first as we don't want to have to rescue our dogs a second time. :-)
