I’m Bruce, a 35-pound, Catahoula/Heeler mix. I was found as a stray, scavenging in a parking lot down South, so I am looking for a loving forever home where I can get all the care and attention I deserve! I did have an eye injury when I arrived at Save a Dog and am scheduled for surgery to have one of my eyes removed the last week of August, so I am looking for a nice home in which to recover. I love affection, and I’m very food motivated, so I’m easy to train. My Southern foster says I’m super-smart and reward driven and learn new routines very quickly. I’m already completely housetrained – I’ve never even had one accident in my foster home! – and I’m also crate trained and sleep through the night without a peep. Like any herding dog, I need space to run and play and a family that can keep me active and engaged. I get along with other dogs, but no cats, please!
