Barkey is a 5 month old Rat Terrier mix. He is deaf or partially deaf like his brother Baxter. He seems to be able to hear some sounds, like a barking dog next door, but whistles and other sounds do not get a response. He is very playful and very comical. He's not mouthy. He came in with his littermate Baxter, Bo, Bonnie, Bruiser, and Buster when theys were 12 weeks old. His foster mom says, "One thing that stands out about Barkley is his sunny, fun-loving personality. He is happy, friendly, and trusting, getting along with people and dogs alike. He loves to play with toys and leaps and bounces in the back yard like no other. But, he follows cues from us and our dogs when it’s time to settle and relax on the couch or in a dog bed. He likes to cuddle and will snuggle on your lap anytime he’s invited and for as long as you let him."
