Are you looking for a loyal, sweet companion who will inspire you to get moving? Lucy's foster mom describes her as an all-around ideal companion. She's calm, quiet, and well behaved around the house, and she can be trusted to be free in the house while you work from home. Lucy will do best with a family or individual who will give her lots of walks and hikes. She loves to walk, and she really likes to move fast, so she is an ideal companion for someone who wants to start a regular walking/jogging routine. After a long walk, she'll be delighted to snuggle up with you on the couch. She sleeps in her crate without a peep all night. She very rarely barks, and when she does it's purposeful and short-lived. Lucy is well behaved when we encounter other dogs and people on walks, and so far she has been happy to meet all people and dogs. She will freeze when she sees a rabbit, however! Some leash work will be helpful for a few of her quirks (i.e., she can be insistent about going in a certain direction, occasionally she is inclined to chase a bird or squirrel, and she can be skittish if a dog on the other side of a fence barks at her). She is a strong dog, so she'll do best with an owner who is comfortable walking a powerful dog.
