Joy, 8 years Female Basset/Beagle  Mix Joy came to our rescue partners at Dog4U in SC as a surrender from a breeder. She was in terrible physical condition but her personality shone through, hence the name, Joy. She has turned into a regular house dog leaving the days of breeding in rabbit hutches behind. She's fine now and loves the comfort of a dog bed and food. Joy loves food more than anything. Mealtime is her favorite time of day. She eagerly awaits for her bowl and will howl until her bowl arrives. One of the most amazing things about Joy is when she starts playing. She is like a toddler with toys. When she's not playing with her toys you will likely to find Joy sleeping than anything though. She gets along very well with other dogs and is just a very sweet and happy girl. She would perhaps do better in a home where someone was able to take her on regular walks. That would also get some of the weight off of her chubby beagle/bassett body. Available 1/11/21.
