BEAR is a 3 year old Hovawart mix, neutered male. Fluffy and fabulous - that's me! My name is Bear and I weigh 70 fluffy lbs. When you meet me, you'll swear that at least 15lbs of that is my thick fur! I'm a happy go lucky guy who somehow got lost during all the crazy storms in North Texas in October. When a friendly animal control officer found me, I was happy to get some help! I was an easy keeper at the shelter because I was super gentle with the kind staff and got along great with the other dogs there. But, unfortunately, I had something they called "heartworms" and that meant I needed help and fast. The great people with PAWS for Irving Animals took me and are getting me treated and now I'm heart worm free. In the meantime, I'm sleeping on soft dog beds, getting lots of love from my foster people and learning how great it is to carry this thing called a "toy" around! If being "adopted" is anything half as good as being "fostered", I can't wait! I have lots of cuddles to offer and I promise to be your happy-go-lucky, loyal companion!
