Leo, 1.5 years Male Retriever

Leo is a neutered 1 ½ year old Retriever mix who was recently adopted and returned for possessiveness with toys. He has shown no resource guarding in his foster home or in other homes where there were no kids or dogs, so an adults only home where he can be the only dog would be best for now. He loves other dogs and would do well in a play group or daycare environment, but at home he isn't ready to share toys just yet. Because he's had some adoption disruptions we have to rule out anything that might disrupt him in the future, so just a single or couple with no dogs, kids, cats or small animals. He is such an awesome dog. He's such a nice size and is full grown.
He's playful and well behaved. He minds well. Loves playing with other dogs. Loves his toys. He weighs 40 lbs. He loves to run around, so a fenced in yard would be ideal for getting him the exercise he needs. With winter coming, leash walking may not be enough and he's a puller on leash.
Leo is full of playfulness, love and happiness. He is always happy! He would be a great addition to any family, and is friendly to children of all ages, but at this point we think just visiting kids are best for him. He cannot go with birds or cats as he will chase. Did we mention he is totally housebroken too.
