Ellie, 17 months Female Blue Tick Coonhound

Ellie is a 17 month old Blue Tick Hound with the sweetest personality. She enjoys being with people of all ages, she likes going for walks, spending time with other dogs playing or just hanging out. Ellie is not prone to barking , but she uses a loud baying bark if she is hungry or wanting attention and sometimes during play. She is house trained, crate trained and loves sleeping on a big doggie bed or your bed if allowed. She is not destructive and sleeps all night without needing to go out. She does well on leash. She is reluctant to get in a car but once inside she rides very nicely.
Ellie showed up at her foster Mom's neighbors house in Indiana and it appeared she had been abandoned there -- she was only 6 months old at the time. She has been living with her foster Mom since that time until coming to Save A Dog. Ellie is spayed and she is a beautiful dog inside and out. She has been very well cared for and much loved in her foster home. She weighs 71 lbs.
Ellie will chase cats outdoors, but does not act so interested in them when inside, but she should be supervised until she proves herself to be safe around them. She has cherry eye surgery twice and it didn't take so the final surgery removed the tissue and she has no problems now.
