Harpo, 4 years Female Shepherd/Lab/Beagle  Mix Harpo is a 4 year old Shepherd mix who came up from Arkansas. She weighs 45 lbs. and is spayed. She is smaller than she looks in the pictures. She's friendly to people but will take some time to becoming acclimated to household noises. We feel another dog would help her to become comfortable quickly and help her develop confidence. She lived with the rescuer for the first 4 years of her life so is a bit traumatized by the transition, although she's in a foster home now and doing great! Here's what her foster mom says: Update on Harpo Harpo is a very shy girl who is slowly coming out of her shell. She is terrific on a leash and doesn't pull at all. She could care less about my cats even though they tease her by walking right next to her. If she can't spend her time next to you on the couch, she prefers to spend her time in her crate. We leave the door open and she settles right in. She is a very quiet dog and we have yet to hear her voice. Noises will scare her but she recovers quickly. She is an easy dog and will make someone a great friend. Older kids and suburban or rural setting would be best for Harpo.
