Shep, 1-2 years Male Australian Shepherd / Shepherd  Mix Shep is a lovable Shepherd mix with a lot of Australian Shepherd in him. He is about 1-2 years of age. He was left along side the road in rural TN where a rescue volunteer stopped to take him in. He already knows a lot of obedience commands so somebody has worked with him. He's also a fast learner. Shep wants nothing more than to love and be loved. He gets along well with other dogs and all people. He isn't interested in adult cats but the kitten in his foster home is an interesting moving toy! Shep loves to go for walks and does well on leash, but does get excited when new people and other dogs come near. He is working on crate training so will need your help. His previous owner left him in it most of the time so he is relearning how beneficial it is to have his own space. Shep has puppy energy and will do well with a family that is active and will take him along on outdoor adventures. He loves to ride in the car and to play with other dogs. He is smart and will do well with training. Shep will make an wonderful addition to some family with tweens and up.
