Naomi is a gentle, quiet loving girl. She is housebroken, leash trained, enjoys time outdoors, gets along great with cats and other dogs, horses and loves people and playing. She is so affectionate. Don't let her occasional limp discourage you as she is all healed from getting hit by a car. Thank God for a rescue angel and all she needs now is a loving home. She will wow you with her affectionate and sweet nature. You won't find a nicer dog!! She was picked up as a stray with a broken shoulder, then was taken to the vet for diagnosis with thoughts of euthanasia if medical costs were to be too expensive. Shelter manager called a Save A Dog foster person to ask if SAD would agree to sponsor her medical, which they readily agreed to do and if the rescue foster would care for her until she was well enough to go to Save A Dog, all was agreed on. Original diagnosis was to amputate the leg but with further x-rays and another opinion from a specialist, therapy was the route to take because the break had already healed. Foster mom did swim therapy, stretches, walks and all has gone very nicely. Naomi now walks on all 4's. She still carries her injured leg from time to time but before long she will lose the habit of doing that, her leg grows stronger every day. Thanks to Save A Dog, Naomi went from death's door to finding her way to her forever family. She is indeed a wonderful little dog and will be the best companion anyone could ever hope for. She arrives on 8/29 and is available to be seen at our Meet and Greet on 8/31.
