Shelby Shelby

Meet Shelby, a sweet dog who was rescued from horrid conditions. She lived with drug addicts and was forced to live life on a chain and to have puppies so that they could be sold for drug money. Her feedings were hit or miss and her collar grew into her neck. She and some of her puppies were rescued by loving neighbors who saw her plight, but not before she was stabbed in the neck and hit by a car. She was not given medical treatment for her injuries until the rescuers stepped in and convinced the people to let her go. By the time she was rescued her wounds were severely infected. She received treatment for her wounds and complete vetting and now she is happy and healthy. The pups were sent to another rescue group as the drug addicts kept trying to steal them back to sell as they needed some cash! The foster's Granddaughter has been playing and working with Shelby and she is walking on a leash and is house trained and will go into her crate willingly. Shelby plays well with the other dogs at the foster home. The vet estimates her age to be about a year old. She is so sweet and has had an awful start to life but even after all she has been through she is a sweet little dog. Please be that special adopter who will give her the life she deserves. A quiet home would be best.
