Gypsy Gypsy

Gypsy survived somehow on the streets since she was very young. One day a woman hit her in the face with a metal pole, her face was split open and she had lost her trust in people. An older man fed her by throwing her some food, but he had very little himself so it wasn't much. Eventually was able to catch her. When she was brought home she just shook, so afraid she would be hurt. She soon realized her rescuers just wanted to help her and started to come around quickly. We then found she was pregnant and she had 9 beautiful puppies. Now Gypsy is a great girl, she loves to play with her 5 foster brothers and sisters; she adores the cats and will play with the resident kitten. She knows commands to sit, shake, lay down and is good on leash. She will alert if she needs to go potty by pestering you. Loud noises scare her. She was wonderful at the vets office when getting spayed. She would need a gentle adopter, but someone that is firm and consistent as she is a large dog. Reward based training and exposure to new things would be best for her. Gypsy is waiting for her forever home...Please fill out an application if you are interested in meeting her. Gypsy will be at Petco in Natick on Saturday and our shelter on Sunday, 604 Boston Post Road, Sudbury.
