Max, 6 years old Male Havanese Max is a 6 year old neutered male purebred Havanese who recently came to Save A Dog because he was overly devoted to his person and was not with the husband or grand children. He has had one owner his whole life and was raised in Massachusetts. He was vetted every year and has had enough vaccines to last a lifetime so a holistically minded adopter or one willing to be guided will not need to continue these extra vaccines. Max would prefer a female adopter and we would like that person to be "dog savvy" having worked with a small dog successfully and taken a dog through positive reinforcement (clicker) training. He is ADORABLE and has a very winsome personality and a lot to offer to the right person. His foster mom finds him totally fixated on her and follows everywhere but will sit next to her inside and out and remains quiet even when there are distractions (dogs and children) around which would get her other dogs barking. He's been fine with my husband and comes up to him for attention but definitely a woman's dog. His foster mom feels that he is a dog that, with very little training. would be a great off-leash dog since he doesn't wander and follows owners. We want his next home to be his forever home! Since he is in a foster home and not at the shelter currently, arrangements to meet him will be made once we receive your application and will contact you.
