Lucy is a DARLING of a dog, so sweet and very submissive. She seems to have Border Collie, Lab, Spaniel, and possibly hound in her. She's a real mix so is not a herding dog or true to the other breeds as well. She was turned by a local owner along with her six puppies. Now that the pups are weaned we are getting her in shape for her spay surgery and subsequent adoption. Lucy needs a forever home and with someone who is going to dote on her. She hasn't had much up until now. When you first meet her she will be full of energy outside, but inside she just wants to crawl in your lap. As she is a young dog, she needs someone who will exercise her and be with her. She is good with kids, dogs, and cats, but we've found she will step on a small pet in her exuberance so larger pets and kids would be ideal. She will be ready in March, but we'd like to get a home lined up before that time. She won't disappoint you. Please don't get her as a "friend" for your dog as she craves human attention. A working home would not be a match as she needs lots of attention and exercise. She will be at our shelter to meet on 3/9/13 from noon until we close at 3 PM.
