Shelby is a six year old spayed female black lab who is as sweet and easy going as can be. Here's what her foster mom says about her: Shelby is the easiest Lab I've ever fostered. She is very good with my 2 other Labs & with a little beagle x terrier 35 lb dog that I have. I have 2 cats in the house & she is also good with them. She does try to get one of the cats to play with her, but the cat just ignores her & she gives up. Shelby is healthy now. When she first came into foster care she had kennel cough, which is an airborne virus much like the common cold and usually runs its course in 10-14 days. She has completed a course of antibiotics and is not coughing now. Shelby is 6 years old but is very slender & in good shape. We walk about 4 miles a day & she keeps up just fine. She is good at coming when called. Shelby is very well socialized, likes people & dogs. She likes affection, but is not pushy about it. She will lay down to take a nap when nothing is happening, but is always ready for a walk or play when the opportunity arises. She is not a real "clingy" dog. Is fine napping in another room from me. I have not had her around children, but would not expect any problems. She is gentle and easy going.
