Skippy, ~ 2 year Male Jack Russell Terrier  Mix
Skippy
Skippy Skippy

Update: We have moved Skippy to Coming Soon as he has severe skin allergies right now. It's such a shame as he is a good dog. He's on a new protocol which is supposed to take six weeks to kick in so unless an adopter is willing to see him through the new regime, he will be with us for another six weeks. Skippy has a lot to offer to the right adopter. He's smart, he's funny, and he's a real character. We are switching him to a new medication in hopes to help him turn it around. Skippy is 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who needs a special home. Skippy loves his toys and will fall asleep with them in his mouth. He likes to carry his toys everywhere, and pushes them into your leg when he wants you to play with him. He loves to play "tug" and loves to squeak the squeaky in his squeaky toys. Skippy is 100% housebroken. He loves the doggy door at his foster home as he loves to go out and chase the birds and squirrels. He loves to go for walks and rides well in the car. He gets along with dogs and would probably respect a cat. He's being fostered with a Shepherd mix and they are the best of friends. Skippy is dealing with some demodectic mange right now so he is wearing the cone and will not be available for a few more weeks at least. He is what you call "an old soul". He is pretty calm for a JRT. He has one quirk in that he can be bossy when he's on the sofa because he thinks he's king of the world. Otherwise, he's friendly and outgoing and very submissive with everyone he meets. Skippy is ADORABLE in so many ways. We want an adult home for him. When he was picked up as a stray he quickly became one of the shelter favorites and hung out in the office a lot. He weighs 17 lbs. and is neutered. Because of his sensitive skin he has been on the raw diet. If switched to dry kibble, he would have to be on the duck and sweet potato version of Fromm. If you are interested, please apply via our online application as he is in a foster home and can be seen by private appointment once we receive your application. Apply at www.saveadog.org.
