Wesley, ~ 2.5 years Male Norwegian Elkhound

Wesley is a 2 and a half year old Norwegian Elkhound who is available for adoption. He is such a nice dog, a really happy boy, and true to the nature of the breed. He is good with other dogs and in his last home he did well in doggy daycare, getting along with all dogs. However he is best in a stay-at-home situation as his recent owner worked long hours and it was just too much time alone -- dogs are companion animals and need the time with their humans. Previous owner says about him: He is a terrific dog in many ways --very friendly, sweet tempered, loves other dogs and people including kids, walks well on a leash and rides well in the car, loves toys and will fetch a ball. Has a real "personality" and seems quite smart. Knows sit, down, shake, and (to a degree) stay. He has learned to sit before going out the door for a walk. Wesley has a lot to offer to the right family and would do best where someone is home.
