Meet Spike, a 1 year old Irish Terrier mix who weighs about 45 lbs. He was surrendered by a family with small children when they had to move, and he was in foster care in TN for about three weeks before coming up north for adoption. He's a terrific dog who is very sweet, gentle, and loving. He was never allowed in the house with his original family, but now he's housebroken with the doggie door and loves to sleep inside. He's a people-lover and can often be found lying quietly at your feet, watching TV. He loves eating popcorn or having his tummy rubbed affectionately. He's great with other dogs and cats, especially larger dogs who can give him a run for his money. He loves his 3-mile walks and lives to run and play. He's still got an eye for the ladies, even though he was recently neutered, but the hormones will subside in time. He does really well on leash.
