Meet Ruger, an affectionate 2 year-old neutered male, who was originally taken in as a puppy by a large family with lots of adopted kids, six of whom were handicapped. At 90-100 lbs., Ruger has grown too large to keep up with the family's many travels and is seeking his forever home with a new loving family. He loves to give kisses, walks well on a leash, and is crate-trained and housebroken. He tested positive for heart worm, was treated, and should be cleared by a test at the end of this month. We're looking for a few sponsors to help pay for his heart worm treatment and then he needs an adopter. If all goes well, he will be coming up on May 7th and available after his health exam on May 9th, but he will most likely be shown on the weekend. as we are rely on a volunteer-based staff to show the dogs we need to see a completed application before asking them to give up their Saturday or Sunday.
