Betty, 2-3 years Female Jack Russell / Spaniel / Beagle
Mix
|
Betty is an adorable, very adoptable 2-3 year old spayed female Jack Russell / Spaniel mix who needs a new family. She weighs around 23 lbs. and is the sweetest thing. She is good with all the dogs and cats in her TN foster home. She is learning quickly to be a house dog. no accidents in the house and has learned to use the dog door. She is currently stretched out on the couch. and, as you can see in the picture, is great with cats. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an application online. She is available after 4/26. Betty was rescued from a TN animal shelter. Save A Dog received an email that she was on a list to be euthanized, so Save A Dog made a phone call to someone from that area to get her out. Betty's life changed from that day forward, although she still has a last chapter in her journey -- and that involves you, her forever home. Her foster mom reports that she has really blossomed since being rescued. She was never in a house before so it took some time to gain the courage to step across the threshold to become a pet, not just a dog. She did not know how to play with toys or other dogs, but is a happy dog running and playing with the rest of the foster dogs now. Betty has never shown any interest in cats, she ignores them. In fact, she has been very good with all nine other dogs in foster, small ones and big dogs as well. She is very quiet; you will seldom hear her bark; she has a very low shedding coat. she will sleep quietly all night and when you open the bedroom door in the morning she is so happy that you are there it makes you smile. She has had no accidents in the house, but currently uses a doggie door. She is doing okay on leash and will need more work on that. Betty's history is unknown but her future looks wonderful, she has so much love to give. She is available 4/26/12.
