Stephanie is an ADORABLE petite black Lab/Whippet mix (DOB 4/23/11) who is looking for her forever home. She weighs 26 lbs and has lots of energy and loves to play. Her ears will stand straight up, or stick to the sides (like the Flying Nun). She can't get enough of belly rubs, and now knows how to climb in a lap and lay backwards so that she gets a full belly rub. When it is time to eat she runs into crate and does the ‘happy dance’ until her bowl of food arrives. She sleeps in her crate; she takes naps in her crate; she does NOT pee/poop in her crate. She has no fear of other dogs, and plays very well with the 5 other resident dogs (all sizes, big and small) – her favorite activity is to be chased by one or all of them. She LOVES to be the center of attention. She walks well on a leash, but gets a little skittish in high traffic areas. She gives me hugs and kisses for as long as I let her. She is tentative around strangers, but with a handful of treats she is quickly your best friend. She is getting much better at letting me know when it is time to go ‘out’. Stephanie must go to a home with a completely fenced in back yard, no exceptions. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet Stephanie.
