GREAT NEWS! Scrappy has been accepted into the NEADS program and will be trained as a service dog. We're so excited for Scrappy! Thanks very much to all his supporters and to the volunteers who worked with him! You opened doors for him! Here's his original bio: Scrappy is a very friendly, 1 year old Chocolate Lab who was brought to Save A Dog because the family is expecting the 4th child any day. He loves kids, but has that Lab personality that can knock them down in his enthusiasm so he would be best with older kids. He is used to being with a family where someone is home during the day, so full time workers would probably not be a good idea unless he can go to doggy daycare. He is not destructive, but will sometimes chew on something he's not supposed to, like a shoe or a toy. He is good on leash and tends to walk right beside you. He would be too much for an older dog as he's just a big puppy who doesn't know his own strength. He is now neutered. He is great with dogs and cats!
