Mason is a 25 lb Beagle-mix. He might be mixed with Aussie or Catahoula as he has blue merle coloring and one blue eye. He is a gorgeous dog whose pictures don't do him justice. Everyone who sees him marvels at this dog. His foster mom says: What a super one-of-a-kind pup! He loves to play with his toys and with other pups. He and our adult male hound also enjoy romping together. When Mason is played out, he settles nicely for long naps. He’s good in his crate with a Kong, marrowbone, or bully stick and sleeps through the night in his crate. He’s housebroken and asks to go out, by going to the door or sometimes whining gently. He loves to go for walks. He’s pretty good about curbing his enthusiasm and easing up on the leash. He’s taken to clicker training, learning basic obedience commands quickly. His foster dad adds: When you sit on the TV couch, he races to give kisses, and is so happy when he can snuggle next to you with his chin on your lap so you can stroke his velvet ears and his unique coat. We tested him with cats but it did not go well so no cats for Mason! If possible, please fill out an application before coming in to meet him because he's in a foster home so we need to bring him here.
