Update: is a fantastic dog (after her adjustment period). She has been great with the kids... rolls over & loves her belly rubbed. She walks great on a leash & is getting better at remaining calm on the walk She and her foster mom even went for a jog this evening and did well. No more whining when she leaves & she settles nicely in her crate. She has gone to the dog park a few times and has warmed up to the other dogs, still a bit timid around new people, but did cautiously go up to a few people at the park. The playfullness is starting to come out, the more comfortable she gets. She is still shy but will come over, head a bit low & offer her paw to say "HI" & "PET ME PLEASE". Alma is a 2 year old Retriever mix who came into rescue in TN when she was very pregnant. Her pups are weaned and it's now her turn to find a home of her own. She is a really sweet, submissive dog who needs a soft-hearted adopter. She will be available to be seen after March 20th when all her medical is complete.
