Adopted

Annie is a 7-8 month old spayed Golden Retriever / Great Pyr mix whose owner turned her over to rescue along with her two siblings. She is in a foster home. Her foster reports, "She is adjusting well to my house & loves being with Miles (a black lab). She is very sweet She doesn't pull on walks (just gets spooked sometimes and stops walking) but is quickly redirected. She is housebroken with no accidents at all. She loves to play with toys and chase them around. She loves toys with stuffing in it and it's her mission to get all the stuffing out in record time. She rides well in the car & jumps in and out without problems. She would be a great addition to a family with another dog as she seems more confident with another dog around. She is working on crate training and settles quickly in her crate at bed time or when I go out. She is a very loving dog who will form strong bonds with her new owners. She is gaining confidence every day and checking out her surroundings, sights, smells & sounds. She is such a great dog! She is a little shy around men, so a patient home would suit her best. The best way to show your interest is to fill out the online application and give us a chance to be in touch. She is in a foster home and we would be able to set up an appointment once an application is received!

Star is a 12 month old spayed female Lab/hound mix who is truly a STAR. Lots of personality this girl has. She thinks she's a tiny dog as her favorite place is cuddled up on your lap. She loves the sofa and her expressive face says it all. She's quite a character. She loves the male black lab and foxhound mixes in the foster home and she is the top dog in the dog pack, but not in a bad way. It's just that she's the only girl and the males are submissive. She loves the other dogs. She would be great with another male dog and is very enamored with labs. She is house broken and knows a few commands. She's very friendly and is great with other dogs. She's pretty good in the house, loves her crate (where she eats and and sleeps). She is not a big chewer that we have seen. She loves car rides. Star was very maternal with Reese and Cinnamon (10 week old puppies). She wanted to make sure they were safe. It was amazing to watch! Please apply online first if you are interested as she is in a foster home. Star will be at the adoptable dog parade at noon during Paws in the Park (details are on the homepage.)
